The Wisconsin Society of Addiction Medicine hosted the Buprenorphine from the Emergency Department: Basics and Beyond webinar on Wednesday, March 27 from 12:00 - 2:30 p.m.

  • Recognize and screen appropriate candidates for buprenorphine induction from the emergency department setting
  • Describe contraindications to initiating buprenorphine
  • Evaluate scenarios where additional care is needed for treatment of OUD from the ED: pregnancy, pain, polysubstance use.
