WISAM will hold the 2024 Annual Conference at Oshkosh Waterfront Hotel & Conference Center on September 26-27. This educational conference is designed for professionals across disciplines who work in addiction treatment and prevention, including physicians, PAs, nurse practitioners, nurses, pharmacists, psychologists, social workers, mental health and substance abuse counselors, recovery coaches, law enforcement, public health workers. This year's conference is themed "Bridges to Healing: Integrating Science, Compassion, and Community in Addiction Care."

Early Bird Registration Rates will end on July 31
Hotel Information:
WISAM has reserved a block of rooms at the Oshkosh Waterfront Hotel at a special group rate of $119/night, plus applicable taxes and fees.
To reserve a room and guarantee this rate, reservations must be made by August 25, 2024. To make reservations, call the Oshkosh Waterfront Hotel at 920-230-1900 and request the WI Society of Addiction Medicine (WISAM) Room Block.
Recovery Art Exhibit
Calling all Artists in Recovery! Interested in showcasing your artwork to a wide audience that will appreciate your efforts? Share your talents at a meaningful display of artistic expressions at the Recovery Art Exhibit.
When: Thursday, September 26, 2024 during the evening reception from 5:00-6:30 PM
Submissions will be accepted until Friday, August 16, 2024. We estimate that all applicants will be notified of the status of their submissions by Friday, September 6, 2024. Please contact WISAM@badgerbay.co with any questions or concerns.
Call for Posters - Deadline Extended to August 16!
Poster abstract submissions are now being accepted for the WISAM 2024 Annual Conference. Don't miss the opportunity to showcase your expertise, insights, and experiences with fellow professionals in the field of addiction care.
Poster Submissions: should provide a concise summary of the research, case study, or project, along with key findings or outcomes. Required submissions should include:
- Title: 12 words maximum
- Abstract: Background & Introduction (20-200 words), Methods (20-200 words), Results (20-400 words), Conclusions & Discussion (20-200 words)
- References: 3-5 scholarly or scientific publications that were used to create the abstract; 50-350 words
- Diversity, health equity, and inclusivity: describe how the submission promotes diversity, health equity and/or inclusivity; 20-200 words
Presentations will now be accepted until August 16, 2024. The WISAM 2024 Conference Planning Committee will review all proposals. We estimate that all applicants will be notified of the status of their applications by August 5, 2024.
